Textile Care

It is preferable to keep fabrics, rugs and leathers out of direct sunlight. Our aniline leathers have a light fastness of 3 and our semi-aniline leathers have a light fastness of 6.

Natural fibers and leathers are subject to variations in colour and texture. These variations or slight imperfections are an intrinsic part of our work.

We do recommend knit backing for certain applications, that special care be taken when cutting and overlocking the edges. Please see more detailed information in our sewing instructions.

Fabric Cleaning

Due to the variety of yarn compositions in any one of our fabrics, we recommend contacting a professional cleaning service in case of stains. Applying any product directly to the fabric, prior to testing it, can damage the fabric. Upon request, we can supply you with a fabric sample on which to test commercially available cleaning products.

Leather Maintenance

We weave with full grain aniline and semi-aniline chrome free leathers. Depending on the design of the weave, we also expose the suede side of the hides. These types of leather are meant to patina with time and wear, like a beautiful leather jacket, and can absorb oils and other marks.

To maintain the leather, we recommend that the leather be wiped weekly with a dry cloth to remove dust, as the pores are still open. Should dirt/dust accumulate, we recommend gently vacuuming the surface without rubbing.

Should the leather become stained or dry, please contact us for a leather sample upon which to test commercially available leather cleaning or conditioning products. Applying any product to the woven leather prior to testing, may damage and/or mark the surface.

Rug Maintenance

The linens we use in our rugs have been Teflon treated in the dying process. This means that liquids will bubble up on the surface instead of permeating the yarn, but dirt can mark them.

We recommend contacting a professional cleaning service in case of stains. Applying any product directly to the fabric, prior to testing it, can damage the fabric. Upon request, we can supply you with a sample on which to test commercially available cleaning products.

Pillows and Throws

Our pillow and throw collection is fabricated from using our textiles and soft aniline lamb leather details.

Please see refer to our Fabric Cleaning and Leather Maintenance instructions in case of stains or marks.

We do provide an after-sale service should the product become damaged with wear over time.
